Munnabhai's the biggest sequel

It’s raining sequels in B-town. And in a survey conducted by Ormax Media and Research Company, the Munna Bhai series was the biggest franchise with a value of a whopping Rs 500 crore. According to the survey, the franchise has raced ahead leaving behind Dabangg and Golmal among other box-office hit sequels.

Munna Bhai scored a 68 percent, whereas all the other movies running for the league were below 65 per cent. The two Munna Bhai movies, Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai had hit home with the audience. The first movie unmasked the system at the hands of the lovable scoundrel, while the second film took on the problems that affect the common man.

The  third film in the franchise titled Munna Bhai Chale Dilli has been announced recently and it will be directed by Subhash Kapoor. While Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will reprise their roles as Munnbhai and Circuit respectively, the lead actress is yet to be finalised.
