Entreprenuer and artist Mukul Deora, who has launched his production company, will soon team up with big Hollywood producers.

Hailing from politicians Murli  and Milind Deora’s family, it was almost taken for granted that Mukul Deora too would tread the road that his father and brother respectively chose to walk on. Maverick that he is, Mukul decided to both shock and awe those who had slotted him when he chose to be an entrepreneur and also decided to be an artist.

His decision to follow his heart paid off as in record time he donned many hats — that of a musician, singer, film-maker and businessman and also got equal successes in all of them.

Mukul, who has also opened his own film production house, is set to hit big time as he is collaborating with Hollywood studios for a fantasy thriller based on the lines of The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia.

“There have been offers and Mukul will soon travel to the US to meet leading Hollywood studios so that he can join hands with them to make world-class cinema. He will make big budget films. Many top Hollywood companies will be tapped for collaborations,” says an industry informer.

“As far as the studios are concerned, I would say no comments. But yes, as a producer I’m looking to expand my horizons and Hollywood productions are very much in my scheme of things. For me content is king and I want to make good cinema that will entertain audiences and be of their money’s worth. I’m in the middle of exploring possibilities in Hollywood and I’m sure that soon I will be in the position to talk more on it. These are exciting times for Indian cinema with Hollywood too very keen to collaborate,” confirms Mukul, whose production company  will create both film and television content. The company’s first film is the sequel to the smash hit Bheja Fry and is being
directed by Sagar Ballary.
