MTV VMAs 'Awwww' moment: When Drake presented Rihanna with Vanguard Award

Drake missed out on accepting his Moonman for the Best hip-hop song for Hotline Bling, but that didn't dampen his spirit when he finally made it to Madison Square Garden to present the Video Vanguard Award to Rihanna.

Drake presents Rihanna with the The Video Vanguard Award during the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards at Madison Square Garden on August 28, 2016 in New York City.

The chemistry between the rumoured couple was on fire when Rihanna released her single 'Work' from her new album 'Anti'. Since then, Drake has accompanied her to many a stage shows to perform the chart-topping number. But compared to what happened on the stage of MTV VMA, nothing comes close to become the 'Awwwww-moment'.

The first surprise came when Drake appeared after Rihanna's final performance for the night and was wearing a tuxedo at the VMA. People who regularly follow the show might know how sophisticated that is!
