Ghanchakkar

A bizarre storyline revolving around the life of an amnesia stricken criminal whose partners come back to collect their share from a past heist but he refuses to acknowledge them. These partners are trying to figure the master plan out while the quirky and insane wife played by Vidya Balan is out there making the situation peculiar.
 
Why should you go?
The plot is interesting, the characters are bonkers and the situation is at its strangest best. Where will Bollywood ever get such a mix at once?
Go and watch it for the fun and craziness of it all.

Why you shouldn't?
If this brand of brainless masala doesn't excite you then you should give this a miss.

100 Bloody Acres

The tagline of the film says "they're not psycho killers, they're small business owners". This does sound absurd and the disjunction is not self-explanatory but leaves you wanting to find more about the flim. Basically, the comic horror revolves around two brothers who run a business of organic blood and bone fertilizers and their experiences with their customers.

Why should you go?
It's gory, it's humorous, it's absurd. It is a strange combination and you really should watch it!

Why you shouldn't?
If horror movies scare you and the plot does not sound funny to you, then you should spend your weekend away from this one.

Byzantinum


An exhilarating Vampire thriller revolving around a waiter who discovers the past of his lover who is a vampire and has been through a lot in the previous centuries.

Why should you go?
It's a must watch for all vampire movie lovers.
It's directed by the Oscar nominated director Neil Jordan.

Why you shouldn't?
If the look of the film doesn't excite you and vampire fantasies sound like a ridiculous idea then this one is definitely not for you.

Copperhead
The movie is based on a novel by Harold Frederic, which depicts the turmoil in a family set ablaze by the conditions of the American Civil War.

Why should you go?
The great American critic Edmund Wilson praised Frederic’s creation as a brave and singular book that “differs fundamentally from any other Civil War fiction", the story is promising and we shall hope the movie to be so too.
Also, if you have seen the first two of Maxwell's Civil War dramas then you should catch this one too.

Why you shouldn't?
The movie is serious and does not exactly belong to today's age. So, if this doesn't look like your scene then you shouldn't spend your weekend over this.

Detention of the dead
Another Zombie movie awaits theatres this week. 'Detention of the dead' is based on high school students who are detained in a room and end up becoming Zombies. Problems arise when they have to overcome their differences to recover from the mayhem.

Why should you go?
If you are a zombie movie buff, then don't miss this one. Also, if you are one who always contemplates situations of such sort then you should see what this is about.

Why you shouldn't?
If this sort of fiction bores you then you should not hit theatres for this one.

Europa Report
The movie revolves around six astronauts who embark upon a secret mission to one of the moons of Jupiter. The expedition faces failure at a few stages and the team
 finds it difficult to communicate with people on Earth.

Why should you go?
A space expedition film has been long awaited and this probably is one worth a watch.

Why you shouldn't?
The plot and the trailer don't inspire you enough to watch it.

The Heat
This crime comedy traces the expedition of two lady FBI agents who are looking to catch a Russian gangster.

Why should you go?
If you are a Sandra Bullock fan and are looking forward to her new look and her new role then you must go.
The movie seems one of its kind and the trailer promises fun. Seems exciting!

Why you shouldn't?
If the plot seems worthless then you should avoid this one.
