Move aside Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan was Bollywood’s highest taxpayer in 2015

It’s been a great year for Salman Khan in the box-office. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan star beat Akshay Kumar by paying the highest advance tax this fiscal.

According to the IT department’s advance tax payment data for 2015, Salman has paid a whopping Rs 20 crore as advance tax, overtaking Akki who paid Rs 16 crore. Others top Bollywood taxpayers are Big B, Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan.

However, it must be remembered that these are figures released by Mumbai’s IT department for the third quarter of this fiscal year, and the last quarter (Jan to March) will decide who’s paid the most tax in this year.
