Morena Baccarin, Sarah Greene, Taylor Schilling contend for lead role in 'Deadpool'

Homeland star Morena Baccarin, Vikings' actress Sarah Greene and Taylor Schilling of Orange Is The New Black, among others have been shortlisted to star opposite Ryan Reynolds in Marvel's upcoming film Deadpool.

Actress Jessica De Gouw (Arrow) and Teen Wolf star Crystal Reed are also in the race for the lead role, reported Deadline.

The film, which is being directed by Tim Miller, is based on the character Deadpool, originated by Reynolds in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The movie's production begins in March.
