Looks like some political parties have made it their agenda to threaten B-Town celebs in order to make their point. Until recently, it was Karan Johar who was facing repeated threats and protests by MNS before the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, as it features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and now the latest victim of MNS threats is Farhan Akhtar.

While the troubles of KJo were resolved after he agreed to pay a sum of Rs 5 crore to the Army welfare fund, the problem may soon arise again for Shah Rukh Khan's Raees, which stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. The MNS chief Raj Thackeray had made it mandatory for producers of films starring Pakistani actors to pay the sum to the Army Welfare Fund.

Now, Farhan Akhtar had recently lashed out at the decision of the MNS and criticised it for forcing Karan Johar to give Rs 5 crore and he refused to pay that amount. This has stated a frenzy of sorts with fans speculating if the release of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer will be further postponed.

Reportedly, Akhtar had said that there was no question of paying the amount as the Army itself has reportedly refused to accept any such money. He was quoted by News 18 as saying, "It’s not even the government telling you what you should be doing and not doing. So who are you listening to? You are listening to the people who are threatening you with violence.”

As of now, Raees is slated to hit theatres on January 26, 2017
