Louis Tomlinson came out with his new single, 'Miss You' from his untitled solo album on Friday midnight.

This is third solo track release for the former One Direction member after 'Back to You' in collaboration with Bebe Rexha and 'Just Hold On' with Steve Aoki. For the track lyrics, Tomlinson enlisted the help of longtime One Direction collaborator Julian Bunetta.

According to a report in Billboard, "Miss You' is about Tomlinson's time in life when he preferred partying every night over a stable relationship. "In hindsight throughout that time I was pretty numb and just going through the motions," said Tomlinson.

"Deep down, it was always in the back of my mind that what I really missed was the girl that I loved. It was important for me to write something really honest," he adds.

The lyrics for his new single go -

We’re dancing on tables
And I’m off my face
With all of my people
And it couldn’t get better they say
We’re singing 'til
last call
And it’s all out of tune
Should be laughing, but there’s something wrong
And it hits me when the lights go on
Shit, maybe I miss you

The track has funky pop beats which are sure to bring a room on its feet.

The 'Back to You' singer has a 19-month-old boy Freddie Reign with his ex-girlfriend Briana Jungworth. The former couple dated for a short time in 2015 and Freddie Reign Tomlinson was born on January 21, 2016.

The song is currently available for streaming on Apple Music and Spotify. You can also purchase it on iTunes.

Tomlinson is scheduled to perform the song during UK X Factor finale on Saturday.

Other One Direction members, former bandmate Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Niall Horan already have their albums out. Malik actually is working on his second album. Liam Payne and Tomlinson are still working on their respective solo albums which are set to release in early 2018.
