Miley Cyrus empties her Instagram account. What does it mean?

Miley Cyrus has joined the latest trend of wiping out the Instagram account. It started with former Dior creative designer Raf Simons when he made the move from the French fashion house to Calvin Klein in 2015. Popstar Taylor Swift did the same before launching her new Reputation last year. Actress Blake Lively followed in these footsteps as a publicity stunt for the release of her movie A Simple Favour.

The 25-year-old singer has wiped off every photograph she ever uploaded to the picture-video sharing site, including the images of her pets and fiance, actor Liam Hemsworth.

No explanation has been offered or found on the development as yet.

The "Malibu" singer is currently following 619 people and has 76.2 million followers on Instagram.

Three days ago, some of her fans on the platform started noticing the number of her photos dipping. By the next day, her entire catalogue of thousands of posts was completely gone.

Three theories have emerged after the complete wipe out. First, that the singer's relationship with Liam Hemsworth is not going so well. But it can be debunked very quickly as both the celebs are still following each other. The second theory is rather a routine one that Cyrus might have done so to come out with a new album. Hasn't it become a tired trend? Especially after Taylor Swift and Blake Lively's stunts. A third very unlikely theory would be that the singer is tired of social media.

There is still radio silence from Miley's side.
