The First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and spilled the beans on several things, including President Barack Obama’s demeanor outside of work.

Michelle walked on stage to a rousing applause from the audience. In a free-flowing conversation with Colbert, she did impressions of Barack Obama, spoke about her campaign 'Let Girls Learn' and gave Colbert some lessons in swag.

On family time with Obama, FLOTUS said, “It’s all about the kids. 'How were your days, what’s going on, what’s the latest gossip?' He’s really into gossip, so you can get him really focused — because he doesn’t have a life.”

As their time in the White House draws to an end, Michelle said,"It’s definitely bittersweet... but I’ve made my kids start packing their rooms already."

The First Lady also talked about the story behind the couple's photo in Essence magazine's October issue, which has already become iconic.

Touching on the campaigns for the current election, Michelle spoke about the controversy surrounding Melania Trump plagiarising her speech, saying, "That was tough."

Obama was also on the show to promote the film We Will Rise: Michelle Obama’s Mission to Educate Girls Around the World which features Meryl Streep, Freida Pinto and Isha Sesay and will premiere on October 11 on CNN International.

In a segment called 'The Late Show Blanket Fort', Michelle and Colbert had a ball pretending to be young kids pondering over problems big and small.

The two discussed important topics such as "If you got stuck on a desert island with one famous person, who’d you pick?" While Colbert immediately picked Barack Obama while Michelle went straight to Beyoncé.

Colbert also took a dig at Donald Trump, "Do you know that if you eat too many carrots, you turn orange? And if you turn really orange, you have to start saying crazy things and run for president."

Michelle's appearance on the late night show was delightful and proved once again why FLOTUS is so popular.
