'Interstellar' actor Matthew McConaughey to receive star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 17​ in Los Angeles.

The 45-year-old Dallas Buyers Club actor whose name will be added to the celebrity sidewalk, was confirmed by the Walk of Fame's Producer and Vice President of Media Relations Ana Martinez via her Twitter account.

McConaughey can currently be seen in film director Christopher Nolan's new film Interstellar.

McConaughey has been in the film industry since 1993. However he only rose to fame in the hit romantic comedy The Wedding Planner in 2001, starring alongside singer-actress Jennifer Lopez. McConaughey recently hinted that he will return to romantic comedies sometime in the near future.
