He dealt with the sensitive subject of the impact of female foeticide in his movie Matrubhoomi - A Nation Without Women. Now, director Manish Jha is set to direct a wacky comedy.

The movie is currently in its scripting stage and the script will be locked soon, says its writer Sumit Saxena.

"The movie is based in rural India. It is about gangsters and their stupid dreams. The film is a funny take on the situation," Saxena told IANS.

After writing Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Saxena is currently busy with this script. He says the movie will go on floors towards the end of February next year.

The team has the cast in mind, but Saxena refused to give out any names until everything is finalised.

"It is too early to talk about the cast at the moment," he said.

Saxena feels the comedy film will be a different domain for director Jha, especially after movies like Matrubhoomi... and Anwar. However, he says Jha does contribute his ideas to the script and helps in giving it some direction.

"We do speak once in a while. He has a very clear approach. He knows exactly what he wants to see in the film. But he doesn't interfere in the script too much," he said.

Saxena has also penned dialogues for 3G, which features Neil Nitin Mukesh. He has also written the screenplay for the film Prague, directed by Ashish Shukla.
