Masaba Gupta and Madhu Mantena engaged

Celebrity fashion designer and the daughter of Neena Gupta and Sir Vivian Richards, Masaba Gupta got engaged to film producer Madhu Mantena on Tuesday. The couple who met through common friends, recently started dating and it was quite a surprise when news about their engagement broke out. The love-birds made their first appearance together when they stepped out hand-in-hand at Shahid Kapoor's birthday bash last month. Speculations about their engagement started shortly after and now the two have put all speculations to rest by announcing their engagement.

A source from the engagement reveals, "Masaba was surrounded by by her gang of girls Alia Bhatt, Akanksha and Anushka Ranjan throughout the evening. The four of them have a close-knit group for a while and Masaba was the first person from their gang to get engaged. Masaba's mum, Neena was present at the ceremony and seemed extremely happy with her daughter's choice of man. Masaba donned a stylish ebony and ivory neoprene lehenga by designers Shivan and Naresh and Madhu was dressed in a colour-cordinated black silk jacket. Alia had come with her gal-pals but she also got along boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra for the evening as he was spotted in some pictures at the ceremony."

Madhu was earlier in a seven-year long relationship with actress Nandana Sen, the daughter of Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen but the two parted ways and Nandana married John Makinson in June 2013.
