Marvel released the second trailer for Avengers: The Age of Ultron on Monday.  The new trailer features several scenes from the first trailer but gives us glimpses of new characters and raises several questions for fans.

We know the cast from the first Avengers movie is reprising their role in the film with Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark/ Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury and Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow.

The gang is back together again to fight Ultron, the artificial intelligence that Tony Stark creates as part of peacekeeping program. The program gets out of hand as Ultron sees human beings themselves as a threat and seeks to destroy them as a way of preserving the Earth. James Spader, famous for playing Alan Shore on Boston Legal, will play Ultron in the film.

Things we noticed in the trailer-

Nick Fury is still on the run continiuing his storyline from the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Agents of SHIELD.

Why is the Black Widow on the surgery table? It will be interesting to see where the film takes her storyline. Her character's history depite its strong presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe still remains mysterious.

New character alert! The first trailer gave us good look at the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olson) and her brother Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). But who is this bald headed woman disrobing in the distance?

Where is The Vision? Marvel had announced that Paul Bettany, who voiced J.A.R.V.I.S in the Iron Man movies, will play The Vision in Age of Ultron. Given Marvel's penchant for surprises,  we wonder what they have in store for him.

Avengers: The Age of Ultron  is set for release on May 1, 2015.
