Brick Lane actor Tannishtha Chatterjee is on a high. If being the first Indian to be nominated for the British Independent Film Awards (BAFTA) and starring with Hollywood actor Jude Law was not enough, Tannishtha just added another feather to her cap – sharing screen space with Hollywood star Martin Sheen.

The actor, who just finished shooting for a Hollywood film Anna Karenina opposite Jude Law, simply can’t stop gushing about her upcoming film, Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain. The film stars none other than veteran Hollywood actor Martin Sheen. Tannishtha exclaims, “It was a fabulous experience. Martin is so down to earth, that you are immediately in a comfort zone. It’s an honour to work with him. One gets to learn so much from such people. One gets to understand the meaning of humility from such great actors of all time.” Martin is best known for his performances in the films Badlands (1973), Apocalypse Now (1979) and in the television series The West Wing.

The film has taken a lot of time to finish and its release date has been delayed. “The film is complete now. It’s done and is ready for distribution, they are figuring out the details,” adds the actor. Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain is a film, interwoven with stories of people in India and USA as they face dilemmas of life in the months leading to the biggest industrial disaster in human history, the Bhopal gas tragedy, that claimed 10,000 innocent lives within a few hours. The film is inspired by real events that happened in Bhopal. The film also stars Mischa Barton, Rajpal Yadav and Kal Penn.
