Marriage woes between Pradeep Kumar and Pavani Reddy responsible for suicide?

Popular Telegu TV actor Pradeep Kumar shocked the industry by committing suicide early in the morning on May 3. The actor was found hanging from a ceiling fan at 4:30 am when his wife came to wake him up for a shoot. 

Some reports suggested that it was financial troubles that led to the act. Others say it was arguments with his wife. Now, according to a report in Times of India, the actor did have an argument with his wife prior to the incident. 

Pradeep Kumar and his wife Pavani Reddy, also an actress, are a well-known couple in the TV circuit. According to the report, this is what Pavani had to say “When Pradeep was saying something, I was attending to some other work. This had upset him and we had an argument. Subsequently I went inside the washroom and started crying. Meanwhile, Pradeep smashed a glass pane and injured his hand. My brother Shravan attended Pradeep by applying medicine. He was in bad mood and consumed lot of alcohol. So I thought of leaving him alone and went to another room.” She found out what happened when she went to wake him up for a shoot early the next morning. 

As per other reports, however, the couple's friends claim that there were problems between the two caused by Shravan, Pavani's brother-in-law. Shravan had been staying with the couple for the past few months and was the cause of considerable friction. In fact, they had been celebrating Shravan's birthday the night before the tragic incident.

The police are currently investigating the matter and the mobile phones of the people involved have been seized.
