March wedding for Shweta Konnur

The actor will be tying the knot with tarot reader Sunita Menon’s brother Sumesh in Bangalore

Actor Shweta Konnur (‘Darna Mana Hai’, ‘Naina’) is all set to wed well-known tarot reader Sunita Menon’s brother and industrialist Sumesh Menon. The duo had got engaged on November 23, last year.

Interestingly, Shweta has not taken any tarot consultations from her would-be-sister-in-law Sunita. “Though I share a warm rapport with Sunita, I’ve never taken any tarot readings from her. She’s a dignified and an articulate person. I enjoy her company. But while deciding our wedding date we consulted our family astrologer.” She adds, “We have Sunita’s blessings for our alliance.”

Was it ‘love at first sight’ for Shweta when she was introduced to Sumesh by common friend and Bollywood director Ken Ghosh? “No, it was a gradual process. After several months of courting that we realised we were made-for-each-other. Sumesh  enjoys watching movies and partying.”

She further reveals, “Since the marriage ceremony will be held in Bangalore, we hope to host a celebration for our friends in Mumbai later.”

Designer Manish Malhotra will be designing her trousseau and also Sumesh’s outfit for the occasion.

Incidentally, Shweta has done many films in the South with the screen name Malavika. Her item-number from the Tamil movie ‘Chitram Pesudai’ is the current rage down South.
