The tragic earthquakes in Nepal has shook the world. Naturally when many are extending their support to help the affected, Nepal-born actress Manisha Koirala too wants people to support however she also feels the need to be cautious while lending help. The actress is trying her best to not let any organisation/persons misuse this grave situation. Manisha took to the social media and wrote,

“I have been warned that a lot of organisations would be misusing this situation so I request every one who want to help please doubly check the accountability and then only offer help..a lot of my friends who want to travel to Nepal, please be mindful that too many people are already there n there is a shortage of food n water…we must be prepared for long span of rehabilitation n relief work(I m afraid after the initial shock n hence desire to help gets diluted by misuse of help & with time we become numb n start ignoring) .. I request all my well meaning friends that please please be mindful of helping in such a way that it is maximum utilised by the victims…the situation is very very grave…my brother has been taking rounds on the field n it is heartbreaking!!!”

Manisha was amongst the first ones’ to thank the Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their swift response to the devastating earthquake in her native country. And the actress is quite aware of how certain miscreant treat such tragedies as opportunity to make money. So, a word from Ms Koirala will certainly warn those willing to extend support to check the credentials of the organisations before donating. Which in turn will ensure that the victims who are in need of help manage to get it too.
