MTV Video Music Awards are favourites and are loved for the performances and the possibility of getting something to keep talking about and keep the entertainment mills churning. It is a perfect platform to grab attention and to perform theatrics. Be it Eminem rapping with his look-a-like or Beyonce showing her baby bump for the first time!
Here are five superbly bizzare moments from VMAs over the years -
1. Michael Jackson accepted an award for nothing (2000)
When Britney Spears introduced the King of Pop as 'star of the millenium' at year 2000 VMAs to celebrate his birthday, Michael Jackson thought he was called on stage to accept some kind of an award. He held up a piece of decoration on his birthday cake and gave a thank you speech too!
2 . Madonna smooched Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera (2003)
Three years later, in 2003 at VMAs, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera were kissed on stage by none other than Madonna while they were performing 'Like a Virgin' on stage.

3. Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift (2009)
This is one chewed out subject and Kanye plays that trick at every award show now. Watch yourself what he did.
Later when Beyonce won the Video of the Year award, she called for Taylor to come on stage and finish her speech.
4. Lady Gaga wore a meat dress (2011)
Known as 'Mother Monster' to her fans, Lady Gaga pulled one of her sartorial extravaganza at 2011 VMAs. Lady Gaga walked the red carpet wearing a dress completely made of meat.

5. Miley Cyrus twerks with/for Robin Thicke (2013)
This performance marked Miley's departure from the image of 'Disney Star'. The compilation of 'We Can't Stop' with Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Line' with a generous sprinkle of suggestive moves and a giant foam finger had all eyes falling out of their eye sockets!
