They are the hottest looking couple in B-Town, that’s why the rumours of actors John Abraham and Bipasha Basu splitting has caused much speculation. Though none of them are willing to go on record about their split, sources close to the couple state that Abraham started retracting into his shell when Basu started bringing up the topic of marriage.

Sources say that Abraham is quite clear about not getting married right now — to Basu or anybody else. “Bipasha planned a trip to Kolkata during Durga Puja festival, and even declared to the whole world that John would be going with her. It was an ideal meet-the-parents situation. Instead John chose to stay out of it at that point of time (he was contesting a freak accident casein a court),” informs the source.

Basu, according to sources, is trying to come to terms with the fact that she was a bigger star than him when they started dating, and did not want to settle down then, today the situation has reversed.

“Bipasha is upset that even after 10 years of being together, John is not ready to settle down with her. She’s also upset that he did not clear the air when news of them having problems broke out. Instead, John fuelled the rumours further by arriving in TV shows and events alone,” adds the source.

A source close to Abraham confirms that the actor is keeping quiet about it as “he doesn’t want to lie to the whole world about dating Bipasha”.

“John has almost 10 years of a career left in him as a solo hero and he would like to get married after that. Marriage is not on top of his mind. But he’s ready to make up with Bipasha the moment she decides to ease down on the marriage issue,” says the source.
