Lyricist Irshad Kamil’s directorial debut set in Punjab

Lyricist Irshad Kamil is all set to make his directorial debut with a film tentatively titled Saanjhi. The film set in Punjab is a family drama and narrates the story of three brothers fighting over ancestral property, reports a tabloid.

Quoting a source, the tabloid says, the casting process is on and they are looking for a 40-something actor and two others in their 30s and late 20s. While the elder brother is against dividing the family, the younger one is carefree and it’s the middle one who is gullible. The film will be shot in December.

The film is being produced Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra who will also make Sanjay Khanduri’s biopic on Jaswant Singh Rawat, the 22-year-old rifleman who died defending his post during the Indo-China war.
