DC Entertainment's "Lucifer" has bagged a proper TV airing ahead of its third season in the UK.

The fans of the Neil Gaiman-inspired comic book adaptation will now be able to watch the show on Fox, reported DigitalSpy.

The users in Britain earlier only had access to the show through streaming platform, Amazon Prime.

The previous two seasons have been picked up by the TV channel which will air on August 31.

"'Lucifer' is ridiculously entertaining; part supernatural drama, part police procedural, part dark comedy; the series takes everything we think we know about the world's greatest villain and flips it upside down.

"British actor Tom Ellis is having the time of his life playing the Lord of Hell, and so will our viewers with the television premiere of Lucifer on Fox," Fox Networks UK entertainment president Toby Etheridge announced.

"Lucifer" season three returns in the US on October 2 and will eventually air on Amazon Prime in the UK.
