Singer-actress Lisa Marie Presley's eight-year-old twin daughters have been taken into child custody after "disturbing" photos and videos were found on their father Michael Lockwood's computer.

The 49-year-old daughter of legendary singer Elvis Presley had filed for divorce from the guitarist last June, after ten years of marriage, reported The Telegraph.

Daughters, Harper and Finley Lisa Marie Presley, had been living with Lisa Marie but have now been placed in the custody of California's child services.

In the documents presented in the court, Lisa Marie wrote, "When I discovered the photos on (Lockwood's) computer, and viewed the videos, I was shocked and horrified and sick to my stomach."

Following up on the matter, Beverly Hills Police has confirmed in a statement that Lockwood is being investigated on the charge of child abuse.

Sergeant Max Subin stated that the department "was notified of alleged child abuse involving the Presley family" in June 2016.

The statement continued, "We are currently working with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations to evaluate the evidence. Based on the fact this is an open investigation, the Beverly Hills Police Department has no further information to provide."

The songstress and Lockwood had collaborated together on the music scene before tying the knot in 2006. This was Lisa Marie's fourth marriage.
