Linkin Park has recently announced a special public event to honour late lead singer Chester Bennington in Los Angeles.

Bennington committed suicide in July and his death came as a shock to legions of Linkin Park fans.

To honour the Band?s frontman, they took to Twitter and posted a statement, ?Just wanted to say thank you to all our fans around the world for the tremendous outpouring of love, which has strengthened our spirit during this incredibly difficult time.?

?The five of us are so grateful for all of your support as we heal and build the future of Linkin Park,? they wrote, adding, "We are working on a special public event in Los Angeles to honor Chester?s memory, and look forward to sharing details with you soon. Peace and love. Phoenix and Linkin Park.?

The 41-year-old was found dead hanging in his home in California on July 20, 2017.

After his death, several artists have paid tribute to the singer, including Rhianna, Pharrell and Coldplay.
