Reportedly, everything is not well between singers Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole.

Rumours have emerged that the former One Direction member and Cole are about to split-up after going public with their relationship in 2015. According to a report by The Sun, Payne is seeking legal advice about what it would mean for the shared assets of the couple and custody of their 11-month-old baby boy Bear.

According to Daily Mail, Payne's estimated fortune comes close to £54million while Cheryl is said to be worth around £20million.

"Liam has sought some legal advice but he still wants to make it work. It's just sensible to be prepared for all options. With a young son and a number of assets between them, there is more to break up than just parting ways.

"He hopes it doesn't come to it but he's just being careful," a source told the tabloid

Payne has been away and on tour promoting his new album and latest single with Rita Ora for Fifty Shades Free. Cole, on the other hand, went into hibernation mode after she became pregnant with their son. According to the reports, she decided to stay with the baby instead of going out and party.

Juggling busy careers with family time is putting a strain on their relationship and Payne seems to be looking for a better solution to it.

The couple has known each other since 2008 when Payne was just a contestant on X-Factor that created the phenomena of One Direction. But it took them eight years to come together and eventually make a public appearance at Chopard party at Cannes 2016.

In November 2016, the couple announced it to friends and family that they are expecting their first child together. In March 2017, they welcomed baby boy Bear. Cole announced to the world via Instagram post, "We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever".

"The fact of the matter is like most young couple's with busy work lives and the demands of an infant they have been struggling to spend time together. There are the very real strains of trying to adapt to parenthood whilst being in the spotlight and having to appear as though everything is rosy all of the time.

"It is not real life and is not the life Cheryl and Liam are currently living as a couple,' a source told Daily Mail.
