Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley believes section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) is a big challenge for millions of people, who belong to the LGBT community.

The ambassador of 'Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival', India's only mainstream LGBT film fest, said as long as section 377 of the IPC, which criminalises homosexuality, exists, people of the community won't feel free. "The way we started, there is a huge difference. Be it the sponsors, media, people or even Bollywood. But our biggest challenge will always be there as long as section 377 exists," she said.
"As long as it is there I don't think millions of Indians, who belong to the LGBT community, will truly be free," Celina added.

The 34-year-old actress was speaking at the closing ceremony of the festival, which showcased old and new LGBT films and the Apna Sapna Money Money actress feels such movies are important in influencing generations.
Celina shared her views at the event saying, "We have received so many national and international entries this time, which is a good news. Because films influence the society, not only the current one but also the coming generations."

Celina, who was last seen on the big screen in Will You Marry Me?, is keen to return to films with her own home production.
"I had a long sabbatical of nearly four years. I am looking forward to my home production and a lot more comedy films in the future," she said.
