Kushal Tandon and Elena Boeva who had been eliminated from the dance show Nach Baliye 5 refused to be part of the wild card entry round that had all the ousted contestants trying for a second chance. Kushal feels that he has already achieved what he set out to.
“I participated in the show only because it gave me a different exposure. I am popular as Virat of Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and I wanted people to see me as Kushal. On the first day of the show I told Sajid (Khan) that I cannot see myself being judged, so this was a challenge. I am a model, have done acting and will soon be doing a film," says Kushal.
"People know who is good and who is bad on the show. I don’t have to prove anything,” says Kushal who is excited at being offered a film by Sajid.
‘Love has to be unconditional’
I met Elena (Boeva) in New York when I went there to do a course in acting. We hit it off instantly. I wouldn’t say it was love at first sight, but yes from the moment we met we started hanging out together. Though she is from Brazil, she is more like a nagging Indian woman! She doesn’t like if I look at another girl (smiles). Jokes apart, I like everything about her, she is very sweet.
I am very bad at expressing my love. I am not the kind to say ‘I love you’ after every call, neither do I believe in celebrating Valentine’s Day. Love can be expressed every morning and evening, you don’t have to wait for a particular day. Love is unconditional. However, I do shower her with gifts and vice versa but that’s very personal.
Since Elena stays in Brazil we don’t get much time to spend with each other but our love is strong and has sustained for three years. We manage through phone calls and messages. We have our share of fights too. Trust is the biggest challenge in a relationship. Also, one should give each other personal space. You cannot bind love. It is infinite.
