It's been two days since Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut went public with their spat and all the ugly details about their alleged relationship have been tumbling out of the closet.
The latest in the revelation spree is that Hrithik reportedly proposed to the Queen star in January 2014 - right after he announced his separation from wife Sussanne.
Mumbai Mirror quotes a 'close friend' of Kangana Ranaut saying that in December 2013, Hrithik called Kangana to tell her that he is divorcing Sussanne. "She (Kangana) was on top of the world as he also told her he wanted to marry her after the divorce," said the friend. The friend claims that Kangana was worried it might be a rebound relationship, but said yes when Hrithik gave her his assurance while proposing to her in Paris in January 2014.
The alleged on and off relationship between the two stars is said to have started on the sets of Kites in 2009. After the proposal in Paris, things reportedly went downhill after Hrithik started working on Bang Bang and is said to have started dodging Kangana's calls. Kangana confronted Hrithik about the rumours of his closeness with his co-star Katrina Kaif. But according to the tabloid, Hrithik was only interested in knowing whether Kangana had told anyone about their engagement. "When Kangana told him that she had informed her family about it, he said that she had misunderstood his intentions," the friend told Mumbai Mirror.
Upon realising that their relationship would never go public, Kangana reportedly moved on. But the dynamics changed after she won the National Award for Queen in March 2014. Hrithik reportedly called to ask for her forgiveness and to take him back.
But that did not last long.
At Karan Johar's party, Hrithik is said to have got upset with Kangana for setting up a date with a younger actor. At that time, Kangana realised that he had hacked into her email account to know this personal information. She then reportedly called up Rakesh Roshan to tell him to look into the matter and later deleted the account and decided to stay away.
Both the stars gave another chance to the relationship and they were doing well enough for Hrithik's private circle to even call her 'bhabhi', claims the source. But after the email incident, Hrithik reportedly posted a man outside Kangana's house to keep an eye on her every movement. That's when the relationship came to a full stop, only to surface in the public domain in an ugly manner now.
