Imagine yourself living a reclusive life away from worldly complications because your 'only childhood friend', who is also your psychiatrist, makes you believe that you suffer from a mental disorder. You trust her completely even as what's 'real' and what's not become interchangeable for you. What happens next?

Kriti tells the gripping tale of Sapan (Manoj Bajpayee) who suffers from a mental disorder. He confides in Dr. Kalpana (Radhika Apte), his psychiatrist and best friend, and tells her about Kriti (Neha Sharma), a woman he met a month ago who has moved in with him. The prospect of another girl being there in Sapan's life unsettles Kalpana.

After asking several questions about Kriti, Kalpana manages to convince Sapan that she's nothing but a figment of his imagination— just like another girl from his past, Rachana — and that he must 'get rid of her.'

The series of events that follow leave you questioning the existence of every character in this riveting and spooky short film. All this while, one can't help but notice that the name of Sapan's friend 'Kalpana' itself means 'imagination.' Does that mean anything? The name of each character is highly significant. You'll have to watch the film to find out why.

Kriti is a brilliant film that blurs the lines between the 'real' and the 'imaginary'. Manoj Bajpayee, Radhika Apte and Neha Sharma are phenomenal in their respective roles. This dark film will give you the chills. Shirish Kunder has done a commendable job in both writing and directing Kriti. It's definitely worth a watch!
