Shirish Kunder and his short film Kriti has been in the news lately. From Kangana Ranaut launching the short film to getting a million YouTube hits on day one. Soon after Kriti started gathering rave reviews, Nepali filmmaker Aneel Neupane, in an open letter, alleged Shirish of stealing the plot of Kriti from his short film BOB. Shirish, after clarifying the allegations on Twitter, had taken legal action against Neupane.

In his legal notice to Neupane, Shirish had maintained that Neupane should furnish a written apology and refrain from making any comments about the film. Soon after that, YouTube had taken down the video of Kriti.

Meanwhile, Farah Khan has come out in support of husband Shirish and informed that he had been working on the script of Kriti since the year 2014. According to a report published in Mid Day,  Farah has stated that a script goes to a lot of people involved in the film making process and it's quite possible that someone stole their idea. Farah said, "Nobody knew about their film until recently, but there is a limit to everything. Every time a film releases, someone gets up and alleges plagiarism. Any Tom, Dick and Harry cannot just cry foul and take away someone's hard work," reports Mid Day

On the alleged similarities between the plot of Kriti and Neupane's BOB, Farah said that there's almost always a psychiatrist in films of pschyo thriller genre. So it can't be said that it was copied from another film, the report added.
