After Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, Yukta Mookhey and Diana Hayden, who have made India proud by winning coveted beauty pageants around the globe, it is now the turn of Femina Miss India World 2014 Koyal Rana to take a shot at the title.
The Miss World 2014 pageant is to be held in London on December 14, at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre, and Koyal is all prepared for the event.
“I have been waiting for this day ever since I won the Miss India title. I am tremendously excited to represent my country at such a respectable platform. This opportunity will allow me accomplish all that I dreamt of. I have my eyes focused on the crown and will give it my best to get the crown back,” Koyal said.
Guided and groomed by several veterans and experts of the industry, like Ritu Kumar, Sabira Merchant, Rocky S, Shantanu and Nikhil, Falguni and Shane Peacock, Dr Jamuna Pai, and Alesia Raut, amongst others, means Koyal is well prepared to take on the other contestants. Such strong support has also obviously made the journey slightly easier than other for Koyal.
Contestants from 129 countries will be participating in the 63rd edition of the Miss World 2014 pageant, where they will compete under different challenges, like Talent Competition, Top Model, Beauty with a purpose, etc. They will showcase their best in the finale, which promises to be a showstopping event.
Koyal studied at St Thomas School, and is currently pursuing her Bachelors from Delhi University. She is also the face of Neutrogena and has modelled for several top designers and jewellery brands.
Apart from the glamour world, Koyal is also passionate about the environment. She is the co-founder of an NGO called the Moksha Foundation, which works for the safety of the environment.
