Sharma quashes all the rumors that circulated about her divorce and being left broke...
Former Bollywood actress Kim Sharma is back in the spotlight. She started grabbing the eyeballs when recent reports emerged alleging that her husband, Ali Punjani, left her and their divorce left her broke. However, Sharma finally decided to address the rumours head on - and staunchly refused them.
These rumours began taking shape when reports started floating around citing a source as saying,"Ali left Kim as he got attracted to another woman. The irony is that when Ali met Kim, he was plump and not great-looking but now because he is in love, he has lost weight and looking great. But Kim is left with no money or financial security."
The source also said that Kim had a backup plan. "Right now, she is looking to establish her business in Mumbai to provide for herself financially. She is now a brand strategist and goes by the name Kimi Sharma (her real name). Kimi didn't just leave their home in Kenya behind, but her job as the CEO of Punjani's chain of hotels as well."
However, Sharma herself refuted the rumours by tweeting that she was fine and there was no truth in what was being said. “When you spend the weekend raging at #Coldplay and come back to find out you’re 'penniless'" was what she tweeted.
She further added, "I can’t wrap my head around all these different angles and 'groundbreaking' details everyone seems to know so much about. Straight from the horse’s mouth – There is much ado about nothing. Next.”
When Pinkvilla reached out to Sharma for comment, all she said was "It's all rubbish. I don't really want to comment on such rubbish stories."
Kim married businessman Ali Punjani in 2010 in Mombasa, and then made her way off to Kenya. The actress, who hasn't been seen in Bollywood since 2009, was earlier linked with cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Carlos Marin.
