After kicking things off with a new single release, a Grammy performance and previews of fashion designers, she is now announcing her new make-up line with Covergirl
Katy Perry may have been a little off the radar in 2016, but she’s making a huge comeback this year for sure. While she didn’t completely disappear, since she did release a new single Rise, and her original Katy Kat Covergirl collection debuted as well, but she wasn’t in the spotlight much. This year, however, she’s set on making a huge impact in many industries, and not just music. After kicking things off with a new single release, a Grammy performance and previews of fashion designers, she is now announcing her new make-up line with Covergirl.
Katy has been working with the brand closely for a while now, but PopSugar says that they will soon be releasing a make-up line that is entirely ‘Mermaid’ themed. Katy has confirmed that everyone can expect four new lipsticks and two eyeshadow/highlighter duos to be available in stores by April, and online by march. When asked about the colours, she said that they will include a “peachy apricot to a bluetiful lip, shimmery highlighters in rose and gold, and a pop of Whispur white or Purmaid green to line your eyes.”
Last year, the first Katy Kat Covergirl line was released, and featured the iconic Katy Kat Matte Lipsticks (which included 11 lipsticks in total, and got a lot of great reviews), as well as the Perry Blue mascara, a first of it’s kind.
Why? Because Katy loves the unusual! She has always been known for her colourful, bold choices (she is one of the only people along with maybe Nicki Minaj who can truly work any hair colour), so fans are really excited to see what she comes up with next.
