Grover is going to be part of a group that includes a US presidential hopeful and an eminent intellectual.
When Karan Singh Grover ties the knot with Bipasha Basu on April 30, he will be entering a very special club of men who have been married thrice. Grover has been married twice before— to Shraddha Nigam for 10 months and to Jennifer Widget for almost 4 years.
However, Karan’s not ‘alone’ in this. Here are a bunch of famous individuals who took the plunge thrice:
Donald Trump

The man who called his early dating life his ‘own personal Vietnam’ because he avoided contraction of HIV/AIDS and other STDs, has been married thrice. He married Czech model Ivana Zelnickova in 1977 and they finally divorced in 1991. He was also married to Marla Maples and the marriage lasted four years. He married his third wife Melania Knauss in January 2005 and they are still going strong.
Amartya Sen

The well-known economist has been married thrice. His first wife was Nabaneeta Dev Sen was a writer and scholar. Their marriage broke up after the couple moved to London in 1971. In 1978, he got married to Eva Colornia, an Italian economist who died of cancer in 1985. In 1991, Sen married Emma Georgina Rothschild, a professor of history at Harvard.

Congress politician Shashi Tharoor is another one who’s part of this club. His first wife was Tilottama Mukherji, the granddaughter of Kailashnath Katju (which also meant that Marakandey Katju is her first cousin), who is now a professor of humanities at New York University. He later married Christa Giles, a Canadian diplomat working in the UN . In 2010, Tharoor married the late Sunanda Pushkar, who passed away in 2014.

The other SRK, who is the current CEO and MD of Disney India, was married twice, once to a childhood friend and the second time to a TV producer, before tying the knot with Bollywood actress Vidya Balan.
Tom Cruise

The Mission Impossible star was married to actress Mimi Rogers before tying the knot with Australian actress Nicole Kidman. His 11-year marriage to Kidman ended in a bitter divorce. In 2006, the actor tied the knot with Katie Holmes. The couple got divorced in 2012, and it seems part of the reason was Cruise’s Scientology fascination which Katie wanted to protect their daughter Suri from.

The actor who recently completed his jail term had been married to Richa Sharma who died in 1996 due to a brain tumour. Dutt subsequently married Rhea Pillai, but the couple got divorced in 2005. Dutt is currently married to Manyata with whom he has two children.

Like Sanjay, his favourite filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra is another member of this club. He was earlier married to Renu Saluja and Shabnham Sukhdev before meeting his current wife, popular film critic Anupama Chopra.
