Karan Johar-Nikhil Advani parted ways after Kal Ho Naa Ho. Post parting ways with his mentor, Nikhil went on to make other films which failed to rake in the moolah at box-office. But now Nikhil is ready with D-Day and Karan has been very supportive. Not only on social networking sites, but he has also offered Advani, all the resources present at Dharma Productions for his protege’s upcoming release D-Day.

It is learnt that KJo has been a constant source of support to Nikhil all through and has even asked his team to help him whenever needed - be it promotions or marketing! Nikhil admits, that Karan has been very supportive all through, “We had made up long time back. In fact Karan had given the mahurat clap for my film Patiala House.

So what went wrong, how we made up is something I don’t want to go into. All that matters is that whatever differences we had have been sorted out.  All that is history. As of today, Karan has been a constant support and very much involved at the film’s various stages including editing!” The director says that creative differences do tend to happen when people are involved, but he realised that in the long run everyone wants the best for the film, so the end goal is always the same. “Our equations are back on track!”
