Kanye West portrayed as `messiah` in Easter graffiti

London: Kanye West has been depicted as a 'messiah' by a piece of street art in Los Angeles which illustrates him as Jesus Christ.

According to the Mirror, the 36-year-old rapper's image was sprayed onto the stone in the Melrose district, showing the star 'crucified' with the caption 'The New Messiah?', while the Christians around the world celebrated resurrection of Christ with Easter.

West is known for his egoistic and outspoken image, as in the past the star had compared himself to many historic greats, from William Shakespeare to fictional chocolate maker Willy Wonka, and had raved about himself during a radio interview.
