Tanu Weds Manu had one Kangana- one who had been usually seen in neurotic roles, with nothing much to do. Move over to Tanu Weds Manu Returns and you have the magic of two Kanganas with the actress racing it up, thanks to her Queen success last year. Expectations were sky rocketing before the release and the film seems to have delivered upto its expectations.

After wonderfully bringing in a good Rs 8.75 crore on day one, TWMR rose to a stupendous Rs 13.10 crore on Saturday. The growth was almost around 50%, thanks to a good word of mouth that ensued. With positive reviews flowing from everywhere, and Kangana's dual avatar managing to do the trick, audiences have flocked theaters to catch the crazily entertaining sequel.

With that, the total collection of the film have already shot up to an amazing Rs 21.85 crore, which is huge for a film of this bracket. TWMR seems to be holding on well and will surpass Piku's opening weekend collections too. Sunday, being a holiday will bring in packed houses and the collections of over Rs 15 crore can be expected, which would mean that the film will have an opening weekend collections of over Rs 35 crore, which is excellent.

If the film holds on well, like the Deepika Padukone-Amitabh Bachchan starrer, it also has chances of crossing the 100 crore bracket. And if it does so, it will be the first Bollywood film to do so this year and possibly the only woman centric film to have crossed the coveted mark.
