Remember how Matt Damon strongly backed the ‘Water War’ cause back in 2009 where he designed a website - Water.org to provide clean water to developing countries? Kangana Ranaut surely does! Bollywood’s new ‘Queen’ might have got all the balls rolling in her favour with her films bringing her commercial and critical acclaim but the actress is in a state of war. No, not literally but Kangs has taken up a new initiative- a personal water war of sorts!

“Kangana has always taken strong stances on whatever she believes in and she has decided to bring focus on the ‘save water’ cause that India has been battling or several years. She wants to begin a small initiative by setting a personal example”, informed her spokesperson. The idea? Kangana has just moved into her new spacious apartment in the suburbs and she has a huge private pool to herself. But the actress has different plans altogether. “I will be converting the pool into a personal garden space as water in a pool is completely wasted in large amounts”, Kangana clarified.

Not just that, she plans to personally tend to the gardening as well. “She loves gardening and after the conversion is done, she will be taking keen interest in the gardening as well”, her spokesperson confirmed.

Like charity, Kangana believes any kind of ‘change starts at home’ as she hopes to set an example. The actress has also been inspired by Matt Damon who took a similar initiative on the Hollywood turf. The Ocean's Eleven had also visited different Indian cities- Pondicherry, Bangalore and Chennai to address the global water issues.

Talking on the issue of global water crisis, Kangana explained her reasons behind such an initiative. “India has been long suffering from a water crisis and while international stars have propagated the cause on various levels , as an Indian and as a public figure I see it as my duty to do my bit to save water so that it reaches people who are in dire need of it”, was what the actress had to say.
