Kamal Haasan vs Shruti Haasan

Come May 1 and Shruti and father Kamal Haasan will slug it out at the box-office for the first time -- with Gabbar Is Back and Uttama Villain -- respectively.

An industry source says, "While their films belong to completely different genres, it will be interesting to see the two clash. Uttama... is a Tamil film while Gabbar is the official Hindi remake of acclaimed Tamil film Ramanaa."

Shruti remained unavailable for comment despite repeated attempts. However her spokesperson confirmed the news and said, "This is the first time in Shruti's career that her film is releasing on the same day as her father's. She is excited about it as it's all within the family.
