Kamal Haasan to step into Aamir Khan's shoes!

After enthralling the audience with an entertaining yet thought provoking flick, Aamir Khan’s PK heads South to charm the regional audience with Tamil and Telugu remake. And if the rumours are to be believed, we might see versatile actor Kamal Haasan donning Mr Perfectionist shoes.

Gemini Film circuit has bought the remake rights for PK in Tamil and Telugu, and sources reveal that Mr Haasan, has apparently given his nod to star in the Tamil remake. “Gemini Film Circuit has acquired the film’s remake rights and Kamal Haasan is expected to play the lead. Gemini had already remade two of Hirani’s films and they were really impressed with PK too,” said a source close to the production house.

It is interesting to note that two of Hirani’s earlier blockbuster Munnabhai MBBS and 3 Idiots, have been remade in Tamil as Vasool Raja MBBS and Nanban, starring Kamal Haasan and Vijay in lead roles respectively. While earlier it was speculated that Vijay or Pawan Kalyan are being considered for PK remake, the latest buzz in Kollywood indicates Vishwaroopam actor has bagged the coveted role.

The actor or the production house is yet to officially confirm the news. While we wait to hear from Kamal Haasan himself, I have no doubt in my mind that Mr Haasan is the best choice to replace Aamir Khan in PK remake
