Kamal Haasan admitted to hospital after he fractures leg

His condition is now stable.

Kamal Haasan was admitted to Apollo hospital in Chennai after he slipped and fell in his office, The News Minute reported. 

The actor sustained a fracture in his right leg and was admitted to the hospital for surgery. ANI reported that his condition is stable. A close associate of the actor said that the 61-year-old star sustained a fracture on his right leg when he slipped and hurt himself at his office in Alwarpet on Thursday morning.

"He has been admitted to a private hospital where he is doing well. He has been advised a weeks' rest," his associate told PTI. "The actor had no professional commitments today," he added.

Kamal Haasan is currently working on the film Sabash Naidu. The Ulaganayagan is said to be really excited about the project directed by Rajeev Kumar as he will be seen with his daughter Shruti Haasan in the film. His younger daughter Akshara is an assistant director on this project. 

Sabash Naidu has music by maestro Ilaiyaraja. Ramya Krishnan and Brahmanandam are also part of the film. The movie is slated for release on December 1 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. In Hindi, Saurabh Shukla will play Brahmanandam's role.
