Kaala: Get ready to stomp to the tune of Rajinikanth's 'Semma Weightu'

Composed by Santhosh Narayanan, the song is a thumping combination of rapping and beatboxing.

The first song from Rajinikanth's much-awaited action-drama Kaala has finally released on Tuesday.

Actor-producer Dhanush, who is also Rajinikanth's son-in-law, tweeted three different versions of the song on Tuesday evening. Tamil version of the song is called 'Semma Weightu', Telugu version of the song is titled 'Yama Greatu', and in Hindi, it's called 'Bahut Bhaari Hai.' All these versions also have Marathi words and phrases peppered in.

Urging fans to rap with the song, Dhanush said it's the song of darling masses.

Rohith Fernandes, Hariharasudhan, and Santhosh Narayanan sang the song. Narayanan is also the composer for the movie. Dope Daddy, Stony Psyko, MC Mawali, Arunraja Kamaraj are the rappers and Beat Slayer did beatboxing to deliver a pumped up song. Dopeadelicz wrote the song. 

Kaala is reportedly a story of Mumbai slumlord who lives to do good by the people. 

Directed by Pa Ranjith, Kaala was initially supposed to release on April 27. But the plans had to be changed because the Tamil industry went on strike on March 1. Now the movie will arrive in theatres on June 7.

Multi-lingual Kaala, produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films, also stars Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Samudrakani and Eshwari Rao in key roles.
