Did you know South Korean boy band BTS' leader RM had admitted that he had sung Daler Mehndi's popular Punjabi pop number 'Tunak Tunak Tun' when he was in middle school? The rapper, in an interview from 2017, was speaking about India when he made the surprising revelation.

K-pop band BTS, comprising of Jungkook, Kim Taehyung, Jimin, Suga, Jin, RM, J-hope, is yet to visit India, however, the group has, over the years, made it abundantly clear several times that they would like to travel to India and visit their fans here.

During one such conversation, the group leader RM had revealed that the hit Punjabi song was popular in South Korea, much like the famous Gangnam Style in India, and that he sang the song when he was 14 years old.

"I could say that the most famous Indian song in Korea is Tunak Tunak Tun. It’s really famous. I sang it when I was a middle school student when I was 14," the rapper told Rolling Stone India.

Besides the music, RM also said that there are glimpses of India in their books and other places. "It’s very famous here. We see it in textbooks, in fairytales. So we got so many fantasies; the mystery, the Taj Mahal, the beautiful people…" he had said.

On the work front, BTS continues to dominate the charts and grow more in popularity every day. The title track 'DNA' from their mini-album titled Love Yourself: Her recently achieved 1.2 billion views on YouTube, making BTS the first K-Pop boy group to achieve this incredible feat.
