In light of the current situation prevailing in India and the tension with neighbouring Pakistan, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) has passed a resolution banning the Pakistani actors and technicians in India until the conditions are back to normal.

As per the tweet of ANI on Twitter which read, "Indian Motion Picture Producers Association(IMPPA) passes resolution banning Pakistani Actors & technicians in India till normalcy returns."

However, an online news portal reported that the said resolution didn't ban the release of Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shah Rukh Khan's Raees. Both these movies star Pakistani actors, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan respectively.

The said resolution by IMPPA comes right after the announcement of the Indian Army that they had carried out surgical strike on some terrorist launch pads in Pakistan. Earlier, the Raj Thackeray led MNS had given an ultimatum to the Pakistani actors, asking them to leave the country in 48 hours, failing which they'll be "pushed out." This order was issued in the wake of the Uri attack in which 18 Indian soldiers lost their lives.
