Actress Jordana Brewster has become a mother for the first time after she welcomed a baby boy via surrogacy.

The 33-year-old and her producer-husband Andrew Form, whom she married in 2007, have named their son Julian.

"The couple is excited to announce the birth of their son, Julian Brewster-Form. They welcomed their son via a surrogate. The parents are overjoyed," eonline.com quoted Brewster's representative as saying.

The 33-year-old star, who met Form on the set of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning", had previously said that she wants at least two children.

"I definitely want to have kids. I want two. I grew up with a sister, but I know Andrew would love boys, but I'll take what I can get. One thing that I've always sort of loved and been enamoured by is the idea of having twins.

"My dad was a twin, so it runs in the family. Fingers crossed. So we're thinking about having kids but I don't know when it'll happen. I feel very ready now," Brewster had said.
