Jaya Bachchan - Rekha truce: Is this the beginning of a new Silsila?

Amitabh Bachchan starrer Wazir has just hit theatres but what's more exciting is how his wife Jaya Bachchan and co-star Rekha hugged it out at the recently concluded Star Screen Awards 2016. For years, things haven't been too good between the two actresses and they have reportedly ignored each other at various functions. But with the recent hug-it-out session in public, is it an indication for a new Silsila?

Big B and Jaya ji were married when reports of him being in love with Rekha started doing the rounds. Although Bachchan saab never acknowledged such reports, Rekha came out and professed her love for him, in turn adding more fuel to the fire. The trio even acted together in Silsila, which was allegedly an adaptation of their own lives.

Post Silsila, they never worked together and parted ways on a rather bitter note. Even till date, Big B tries to avoid Rekha at various events and functions. Jaya ji was seen making faces while Rekha was presenting a speech at the Parliament.

But all that seems to be a thing of the past. At the Awards do, they were seated next to each other and the biggest highlight of the event happened when the two embraced each other. This does prove that the two yesteryear stars have let bygones be bygones and have moved ahead in life. And we hope this saga continues...
