Javier Bardem may play villain in 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5'

Javier Bardem is in early talks to play the villain in the upcoming fifth instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Johnny Depp would reprise his role of Jack Sparrow while Geoffrey Rush returns as Barbosa in the latest installment of the fantasy film, which would be helmed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg.

The plot of the film, which would be shot Australia in 2015, hasn't been set yet. however, it is believed that Bardem would play a ghost captain who blames Sparrow for the death of his brother and is searching for a supernatural object to aid him.
