James Franco tries to pick up Scottish teen on Instagram

James Franco had apparently tried to hook up with a 17-year-old Scottish teen via Instagram after she saw him appearing on Broadway in Of Mice and Men.

According to the New York Post, Lucy Clode has claimed that the 35-year-old actor struck up a conversation over the photo-sharing site, enquiring about her age, whereabouts and whether she had a boyfriend.

After replying to his queries and giving him her number, the blonde asked him to give her some proof of his identity, at which the star clicked and sent her a photo of himself holding a piece of paper with her name on it.

Clode also shared that the star had started texting her, and even asked if he should book a room at the hotel where she was staying.

After the controversial news spread, Franco shared on Instagram warning parents to keep their teens away.

Coincidently, the '127 Hours' actor portrays a pervert soccer coach in his upcoming film 'Palo Alto', and is seen seducing his 14-year-old babysitter, played by Emma Roberts.
