Before this debut tour, have you heard any stories from fellow DJs about their experiences of playing to Indian crowds?
We don't know anything about the EDM scene in India, but we can see on Twitter and Facebook that the buzz is crazy.

What does Dada Life mean?
It's something you should live by, whatever it really means it's up to you to decide. It's really how to live your life. As a band, music wise we try to capture that small moment when you have a pure adrenaline rush and stretch that feeling into a full length track. But Dada Life is more than just music - it's a way of living. Don't think too much and have fun. We want to prove to our fans that they're born to rage.

With a tongue-in-cheek style, you guys seem to be having a lot of fun at shows...
Those Dada-guys from hundred years ago didn't really seem to live a Dada Life. We live it. Happiness is the most important thing. Yes, we have to have fun. Otherwise we could as well do something else, right? And with our new song - One Smile - we aim to bring happiness back to EDM culture.

If you could remix one artiste in the world, who would that be?
Little Richard – he's 81, so it's still possible. We've reached out to him, so we keep our fingers crossed.

What's Dada Land? Are you serious about this concept?
In 2013, we started a petition asking the United Nations to recognize Dada Life's fictitious nation - Dada Land as a sovereign country. We need a place where we can be free and do what we want to do. No rules, but the rules of Dada. The request never officially made it to the UN, but our passports were seized by the Swedish government. We've been sending out diplomatic letters to all major nations over the world. We're 100 per cent serious about this. People think that we're joking, but we're not. How funny do you think it was missing Ultra and Miami last year when the authorities took away our passports?

So, what are the rules of Dada Land?
It is really up to you. From jumping in to a wall with a big smile or partying your shoes off - anything that makes you feel amazing is doing the Dada. We also have the Rules of Dada as a guideline on how to live a Dada life. It's stuff that we come up with on the road. We add new rules all the time. I bet some new rules will be written even during this tour.

Some websites refer to you as the banana and champagne kings – what's with this odd pairing?
Banana alone is just a yellow fruit that we don't care about, but the combination with champagne is a lethal combination - in a good way. It started from us having bananas and champagne on our nights when we started playing. It's a good combination if you want to keep going all night. Champagne is the alcohol and the banana has the potassium and everything you need for energy. It's also the perfect food for the club because it doesn't matter how sweaty it gets, you can always peel a banana and eat it fresh.

Why did you guys come up with the idea of the World Record Pillow Fight?
You should always expect the unexpected at a Dada Life show. But arriving beautiful and leaving ugly is one of the side effects of a Dada Life show. There was half a meter of pillow fluff all over the venue. We broke the Guinness World Record for the world's largest pillow fight with this event which had 3,813 participants.

Finally, how does the rest of 2014 look like for you guys?
Right now we're finishing our next single, One Smile. We will also release an album soon. And in July, we have the Dada Land: The Voyage Tour, which is the World's First DJ Tour via Hot Air Balloon. It is going to be a musical voyage with us playing the opening set early in the night with classic stuff and then ending the whole thing with all the latest music. Now, we just hope someone has figured out how to steer that thing so that we can land for our set in time.

BOX: Know what?
Who are they? Dada Life - a Swedish duo from Stockholm comprising Olle Corneer and Stefan Engblom
How they came together? The two met in 2006 at a whale watching cruise in Vancouver Canada. "The weather was bad so everybody had to stay inside and when we realized we both were Swedes, we started talking and ended up making the first Dada Life track – Big Time, later that day," shares the duo.
What they play? Electro and progressive house
To their credit, they have hits like... Rolling Stones T-shirt, Happy Violence, Kick Out The Epic Motherf*cker, Unleash the F*cking Dada and Feed The Dada along with many other remixes
Brought down to India by Nikhil Chinapa, Dada Life will perform in Bangalore on June 6.
