A new poster of the upcoming superhero movie "Thor: Ragnarok", in which the Asgardian god is seen battling it out with The Hulk, has been unveiled.

The image, created by Marvel's in-house artist Andy Park, was released by Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures at the ongoing D23 Expo, Disney's mega fan event, here.

The poster is straight out of the movie's scene, in which the hammer-wielding god and the green giant engage in a gladatorial contest.

Chris Hemsworth will return as the God of Thunder in "Thor: Ragnarok", which also stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Idris Elba as Heimdall and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.

Cate Blanchett is the new joinee to the franchise and will essay supervillainess, Hela.

Tessa Thompson will play Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum will don Grandmaster and Karl Urban will portray Skurge in the film.

Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange will also make an appearance in the film.

"Ragnarok", which is the third film in the Thor franchise, has been directed by Taika Waititi.
